Let you know, my brother, the breeder, that the summer is an easy season to deal with cows compared to the winter. The difficulty of the winter season lies in the fact that the cows need great care and attention from you, my brother, in eating and cleaning, because they are in the barns for long hours due to the heavy rain.

Cattle weighing 700 pounds or more should be fed a ration containing 11 percent crude protein in a ration composed of grain (usually corn, but barley and wheat are often also used), protein sources, and roughage. Larger-framed cattle tend to require a ration with a higher percentage of grain to achieve the same carcass quality grade as cattle with smaller frame sizes.
